Lets create a cool looking shooting star photoshop tutorial.
This star effect can be used in a logo design or a banner graphics.

[1] Take a new file of 500 pixels by 500 pixels and resolution of 72 dpi in the RGB mode.

[2] Now fill the background with the help of Gradient Tool for this color codeing foreground #1D2027, Background #2F3859.

[3] Then take the Shape Tool and choose this one.

[4] Create your shape make the selection and fill with black color.

[5] Now go to Blending Option use the following settings.

[6] Your image something look like this.

[7] Take the Polygonal Lasso Tool and draw a new shape as shown image below.

[8] Now go to Blending Option select the Gradient Overlay apply the following settings.

[9] Your image should be look like this.

[10] Draw another shape with the help of Polygonal Lasso Tool as shown image below.

[11] Go to Blending Option select the Gradient Overlay apply the following settings.

[12] Your image look like this.

[13] Draw another shape with the help of Polygonal Lasso Tool as shown image below.

[14] Go to Blending Option select the Gradient Overlay apply the following settings.

[15] Your image should be look like this.

[16] Repeat the step 13.

[17] Fill the new shape with the help of Gradient Overlay.
[18] Your final image should be look like this.
