Today in this tutorial of mine I will tell you how to make a Transparent file folder web icon using photoshop.

[1]-First of all open new document of custom size
you may choose any size, I am gonna take Height & width 400×400 pixels and Resolution 72 and Mode RGB Color

[2] Now take the Rectangular Marquee Tool.

[3] Then set the Foreground color as shown image below.

[4] Create a new shape with the help of Rectangular Marquee Tool and fill the color.

[5] Now take the Pen Tool create a new shape as shown image below.

[6] Then crate a new layer make the selection and fill with black color.

[7] Now go to Blending Option use the following settings.

[8] Your image should be look like this.

[9] Take the Text Tool create your word.

[10] Then press Cntl+T, Transform Selection see in the next image.

[11] Now Cntl+Click on the Text layer, then go to Select>Modify>Contract Selection use these settings.

[12] Create a new layer and fill the selection with grey color.

[13] Now go to Blending Option use the following settings.

[14] Your image should be look like this.

[15] Now take the Pen Tool create a new shape as shown image below.

[16] Then crate a new layer make the selection and fill with grey color.

[17] Now go to Blending Option use the following settings.

[18] Your final image should be look like this.
