Well This photoshop tutorial will teach you few tricks to create a Glass Paper Weight.

[1]-Lets open new a document of Custom size, choose size 500 by 500 pixels and Resolution 72 in Mode RGB Color.

[2]-Now fill the Background Layer with any color as shown below

[3]-Now go to Filter>Render>Lighting Effects and use the following settings

[5]-Now create the following shape by the help of Ellipse Tool & adjust with the Direct Selection Tool

[6]-Now right click on the shape & select Make Selection then use the following settings

[9]-Now create the following shade by the help of Dodge Tool

[10]-Now click on ‘f ‘ which is indicating by finger sign as shown below

[11]-Now select Inner Shadow and apply the following settings

[12]-Now select Inner Glow and use the following settings

[13]-Now select Satin Structure and apply the following settings

[14]-Now select Pattern Overlay and use the following settings

[15]-After used the above settings your image will look as shown below

[16]-Now create the following selection by the help of Polygonal Lasso Tool

[17]-Now fill the selection with #F7F8FD color and reduce the opacity as shown below

[18]-Now your Image will be look as shown below

[19]-Now create the following selection by the help of Polygonal Lasso Tool

[20]-Now fill the selection with #E0E3FD color and press Ctrl+J & adjust by the Move Tool as shown below

[21]-Now create the following shade by the help Burn Tool

[22]-Now create the following selection by the help of Polygonal Lasso Tool

[23]-Now fill the selection with any color

[24]-Now select Text Tool and write any Text as you wish & at last, all settings have been completed. And your final image will be look as shown below
