How to make a Overlap Text Effect or design a text effect with linked letters for logo - photoshop cs2 tutorial.

[1] Take a new file of 400 pixels,400 pixels, of resolution 72 dpi in the RGB mode.

[2] Take the Text Tool and write your word one with each layer.

[3] Now set your layer as shown image below.

[4] Now Right Click the X layer and Rasterize Layer.

[5] Then go to Blending Option and select the Bevel and Emboss apply the following settings.

[6] Your image should be look like this.

[7] Then right click on the X layer and copy layer style.

[8] Now select the P-text layer and right click now paste the layer style.

[9] Now select the y-text layer and right click now paste the layer style, your image look like this.

[10] Take the Eraser Tool.

[11] Now select the Y-text layer and play with eraser tool as shown image below.

[12] Your image should be look like this.

[13] Now select the P-text layer set the opacity 50% as shown image below.

[14] Play with eraser tool as shown image below.

[15] Now set the opacity P-text layer 100%.
[16] Your final image should be look like this.
