One-Year, Full-Time MBA Program

It is difficult for some people to draw a line between One-year full time MBA program and the Two-year full time program. Both of these programs are quite different from each other. In real, both of these require strong credentials in order to be a part of these programs; in the form of either academic or employment background.

A typical length of this program is approximately 11 to 16 months. There are various ways by which the duration of the program can be reduced. Some of them are:

One-year full time programs require high priority from the students over their work. So the students pursuing a one-year full time degree do not work full-time. It often happens that they require relocation in order to attend one-year program suitable according to their needs.

Disadvantages / Limitations of One-Year, Full-Time Program:

Before applying for a one-year, full time MBA program, you should keep in mind some of the limitations of this program. After considering these limitations, yet you consider it to be suitable for you, then you should apply for this one-year, full-time MBA program. Following are some of the limitations of one-year, full time MBA program.

  • It demands very strict time schedules; which won’t allow you to work full time. You have to give up your full-time work in order to pursue this program. However, you can work on part-time basis.
  • Because of the short duration of this program, students don’t get enough breaks between the semesters. It prevent them from availing internship opportunities. Because many career switchers want to grasp the opportunity for internship in order to gain valuable experience. So if you are a career switcher, keep in mind that you won’t be able to do internship as there are not enough breaks between the semesters.
  • Before applying for this one-year, full time program, all career enhancers should make sure that your MBA employer will act supportively and will consider your choice to be favourable.

Money Matters:

Students studying on full-time can apply for student loan. If they are part-time students then they can’t apply for student loan. As far as the scholarship issue is concerned, all students should get its information from their respective schools. Scholarship may be available for full-time students but it needs to be confirmed from the schools. Often it depends on their academic and employment background.
